The Universe is a complex bureaucracy of beings, each one vying for power over another. Upon the pinacle of this chaos, and residing in Heaven, is God. The God that rules us now is the second that the Universe has seen. The first was killed during a battle with Hell roughly 800 billion years ago, after a reign of close to 90 trillion years. The second most powerful being of the Universe is Satan. Satan, technically is merely a title meaing "deciever," however it has been kept as a sign of honor and respect in Hell. Several dozen Satans have come and gone over the years. The original Satan was Lucifer, the second most powerful being in Heaven. After being banished to Hell, Lucifer took control of Hell and all its minions, only to be killed and have his powers stolen several thousand years later. The Messiah and Antichrist are two beings that are Heavens and Hells generals respectively. They have not yet been shown to the Universe. Then there are the other Gods. The most powerful of them are the Elemental Gods, controling Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Chaos. The weaker include Death, Night, Luck, and other aspects of life. After them come the various Angels, Fallen Angels, Devils, and Demons. Angels and Fallen Angels both have the most powers of the four types. Next comes Devils, who are physically weaker than both type, and slightly weaker than Demons, but some almost match the Angel types in magical powers. Demons are brutish beasts with limited intellegence and little to no magical power. After them come the Greater Humanoids, which include Elves, Dwarves, and the like. Lesser Humanoids include Humans and Halflings. Then comes the types of animals, and finally inanimate things such as rocks and water.

A Brief History of Time:

~100 trillion years ago: The Ancient Ones come into being, and reality is full of chaos and anarchy.
~95 trillion years ago: The Elder Gods, the offspring of the Ancient Ones, rebel, with Marduk slaying Tiamat, the Great Serpent. This death causes the creation of the Universe and the creation of the Elements.
~90 trillion years ago: Spawned from the Elements, comes Good, Evil, Life, Death, Time, etc.
~85 trillion years ago: Earth and Heaven are created, as per Genesis, and many beings are created on Earth in mixtures of the elements, such as air and water for Elves, fire and earth Dwarves, and earth and air for Gnomes.
~84 trillion years ago: Man is created on Earth in equal parts of all the elements.
~80 trillion years ago: Some Fiends of the Pit escape, such as Goblins and Ogres, and add their numbers to Earth.
~79 trillion years ago: War starts on Earth between the Godly creations and Fiends.
~75 trillion years ago: War on Earth ends.
~74 trillion years ago: First Nepherlim is born of an Angel and human.
~65 trillion years ago: Humans/Nepherlim attain supremacy over all other races on Earth, have enough power to challenge the Gods.
~64 trillion years ago: Lucifer, the most powerful Seraphim in Heaven, asks Yahweh for control over Earth and its minions so that Yahweh can control Heaven. Lucifer and his followers are exiled to Earth.
~63 trillion years ago: Lucifer gains complete dominance over all of Earth. Yahweh attempts to banish Lucifer to the Pit. First war between Heaven and Earth begins.
~60 trillion years ago: Lucifer is banished to the Pit with his followers. They gain complete control over the Pit, and rename it Hell. Lucifer begins to corrupt Humans from his prison.
~55 trillion years ago: Second war between Heaven and Earth. Hell sides with Earth. Yahweh unleashes all his fury, completely annhiliating everything in the Universe except for conduits to other planes of existence.
~35 trillion years ago: Yahweh uses the planular conduits and pulls matter into our Universe, causing the Big Bang.
~30 trillion years ago: Yahweh begins experimenting with other combinations of elements, hoping to achieve the perfect race of beings.
~1 trillion years ago: The current Earth is completely formed and by ways of radiations from residual battle sites, small amino acids begin to bind together, forming proteins, and thereby starting evolution.
~800 billion years ago: Yahweh is killed by an attack from Hell.
~799 billion years ago: Jehovah takes the throne of Heaven.
~10 billion years ago: Jealous of Yahwehs success with creation, Jehovah aides along the microorganisms living on Earth.
~8 billion years ago: Satan takes a notice upon Earth, and starts to shape life there.
~1 billion years ago: Jehovah contends with another rebellion in Heaven, this time against those beings who were saved before the first destruction of the Universe. Satan takes this moment to truly control evolution on Earth.
~500 million years ago: Satans control over Earth shows as the earliest dinosaurs begin to spread across the Earth.
~65 million years ago: Jehovah eliminates most life on Earth, leaving only a few, mostly uncorrupted beings.
~25 million years ago: These beings left after Jehovahs wrath come to dominate Earth.
~2 million years ago: Jehovah chooses a race and decides they will be caretakers of the Earth.
~1 million years ago: Satan chooses a race and begins to corrupt them very subtly.
~500,000 years ago: The race Satan and Jehovah chose begins to show signs of civilization and society.
~25,000 years ago: Jehovah send a few angels to help Humans.
~10,000 BC: Humans, Satans and Jehovahs chosen race, start a rise to ascendancy.
~7,000 BC: Jehovah begins to go insane, and sends an angel to spread his word on Earth.
~4500 BC: Moses, under delusions from Satan, rebels against Egypt.
~25 AD: Jesus, another Nepherlim, attempts to gain control over Earth.
~33 AD: Jesus is killed under the charge of treason.
~600 AD: Mohammed is visited by a devil, believes it to be Allah.
~1000 AD: Satan influences the Muslims and Christians to spread their power, leading to the Crusades.
~1600 AD: Devils, in disguise as priests, run the Inquistion.
~1800 AD: Heaven and Hell begin another war, both sides attempt to wrest Earth away from the other. The war is still ongoing.
